My Story

Respect Thaa Chocolate is a healing and creative space I created in honor of my late son JonTaiz Naylor who passed away two years ago in a tragic car accident. Respect the Chocolate is an intrinsic symbolic language that I instilled in my son as a young single parent.
Example: Respect yourself, love yourself, honor your transformations, trust your process, and respect the things about you that make you uniquely you.
Even at 11 years old his spirit was so impactful and heartwarming. Creatively he decided to make RTC a t-shirt line just for fun and was beginning to be his own entrepreneur. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to go forward in the flesh, but in spirit, I felt in my heart to carry out my baby's dreams with the t-shirts. But, God said the vision was bigger, and not just about myself. RTC is overcoming cultural obstacles to creating a safe space to grieve through creativity, encouragement, and support of life skill sets needed that you can understand. We are not alone, we all are on our own unique journey because we all grieve differently, especially while we are still processing our loss.
These are things that have helped me process my own loss and I would like to help others do the same.
